Chandeliers overhead, a red-and-gold stage draped for the occasion, and over 200 guests dressed to the nines — the Rhythm & Hearts New Year Gala has become one of our most anticipated signature events, and this year’s edition delivered exactly the kind of night our guests have come to expect.
From the moment doors opened, the room was built for celebration: a formal sash-and-gown dress code, a red carpet arrival, and a full production stage ready for a night that would move from elegant dinner-hour music into a full-throttle countdown celebration.
Raina & Shan structured the evening in three deliberate movements — a warm, conversational opening set during dinner; a mid-evening run of crowd favourites that brought guests onto the floor; and a final countdown set, building to midnight with a run of high-energy anthems and a live countdown moment that had the entire room singing together.
True to the Rhythm & Hearts mission, the Gala wasn’t only about performance — it also served as a moment to recognize community achievement, with certificates and honours presented to guests who had contributed meaningfully to the Canada’s cultural life over the past year.
