From a Local Platform to a Trusted Canadian Name: The Rhythm & Hearts Story

Every company has an origin story. Ours begins with two performers who had already spent 20 years on the biggest stages in the world — and a simple question: what would it look like to build that same quality of experience, at home, for the community that raised them?

The First Stage

Rhythm & Hearts began as a modest platform for budding Canada artists — a chance for local singers, dancers and performers to share a real stage, with real production values, in front of a real audience. Raina Sen and Shantanu Banerjee brought their own two decades of performing experience to every early show, mentoring emerging talent while building out the technical and creative foundation the company runs on today.

Two and a Half Years of Growth

In the time since, that platform has grown into more than 20 successfully completed events and five signature event experiences — Theatre Nights, Cross-Cultural Nights, the New Year Gala, International Showcases, and Community Talent Nights — each one building the Rhythm & Hearts name as a trusted fixture of cultural life across the Greater Toronto Area.

A Global Stage, A Local Heart

Today, Raina & Shan carry that same mission onto stages well beyond Ontario — performing for audiences in Dubai, the UAE, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Mexico and Singapore. But the heart of Rhythm & Hearts has never moved: it is still, at its core, about bringing people together through music, culture and celebration.

What’s Next

As Rhythm & Hearts continues to grow, our focus remains the same as it was on day one — giving artists a genuine platform, giving communities a reason to gather, and giving every client an event they will be talking about for years to come.
